Answers to the questions we’re asked most about panel beating, insurance claims and repairs at Technicolour in Bloemfontein.
Which insurance companies do you work with?
We have repair agreements with 28 insurers, banks and fleet companies, including Santam, Old Mutual Insure, Hollard, the Telesure group (Auto & General, Budget Insurance, 1st for Women, Dialdirect, Renasa and Virseker), Discovery Insure, King Price, MiWay, Momentum Insure, Absa, FNB, Standard Bank and WesBank, and we work with brokers across Bloemfontein and the Free State. See the full list on our insurance claims page. We handle the claim process with you: we liaise with your insurer and assessor so you don’t have to chase anyone. If you already have a claim number, send it with your quote request.
Do you offer courtesy cars?
Yes. We offer courtesy cars while your car is being repaired. Ask us when you book, and check your policy too, because some policies include car hire.
Can you collect my car and bring it back?
Yes. We offer pick-up and drop-off, so you don’t have to take time off to bring your car in or fetch it.
Can you quote at my home or office?
Yes. We do mobile quotations, so we can come to you to assess the damage.
Which vehicle brands are you approved for?
Technicolour is approved by 28 vehicle manufacturers: Audi, Chery, Datsun, Ford, Geely, GWM, Haval, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaecoo, Jetour, Kia, Lepas, Lexus, Mahindra, Maybach, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Omoda, Renault, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo. See how we repair each brand on our approved brands page.
Do you repair aluminium bodywork and electric vehicles?
Yes. We hold full aluminium structural repair certification for Audi, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz. Our aluminium specialist trained in Audi aluminium structural repair and welding at Audi’s Neckarsulm plant and Böllinger Höfe in Germany, and is internationally certified. He has also completed Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle training, and our workshop is ready for electric vehicles.
Can you fix hail damage?
Yes. Where the paint isn’t cracked, we use paintless dent removal (PDR), which keeps your factory paint. Badly damaged panels are repaired or replaced and painted to match. See our hail damage repairs page.
How long will my repair take?
Our median repair time is 5 days from when your car arrives to when it is ready for collection, based on our own production records. Bigger repairs take longer, and parts availability and insurer authorisation also play a part. We give you a realistic date when we assess the car and keep you updated throughout the repair.
Are you a SAMBRA member?
Yes. Technicolour holds a Major Structural grading from SAMBRA, the South African Motor Body Repairers’ Association, and is an accredited member of the RMI (Retail Motor Industry Organisation). Our membership number is AC-SM2000602, and our current certificate is valid until 31 July 2027.
How long has Technicolour been in business?
We’ve been repairing cars in Bloemfontein since 1994. Our awards include Telesure Regional Repairer of the Year 2026 and Isuzu National Audit & Compliance Winner 2026.

Do your repairs come with a warranty?

Paintwork carries a lifetime guarantee against defects in material and workmanship, in line with the paint manufacturer’s warranty. See our warranty page for the details.
